Midtown Community Days are weekend events hosted on Midtown’s campus where students can volunteer and earn service hours toward their APS graduation requirement. Younger students and students without their own transportation can work under the supervision of Midtown staff to complete projects. We have partnered with organizations like The Backpack Project, Foundation for Hospital Arts, the Midtown Assistance Center, and The Sandwich Project to help support the wider Atlanta community, and we also complete campus beautification projects inside and outside to help our school.
Since its inception, Community Days have made possible over 2000 service hours per year for Midtown students, helping keep students on track for graduation while enriching the Midtown community.
